Vista Cinema is at the centre of every aspect of your theatre operation, ensuring your cinema runs like clockwork, with each screen performing as a ‘business unit’.

You have the choice of configuring Vista Cinema to handle box office and concession sales (ideal for customers) or having dedicated concession sales in key ’high margin’ locations. Each location can have different products on offer, which staff can easily see on intuitive drag and drop screen displays.

Vista Cinema caters for a wide variety of ticketing, from paid and unpaid bookings, reserved seating, and package and group tickets, through to season passes and movie marathons. It can accept voucher payments, loyalty redemptions, complementary tickets and third-party vouchers.

Pricing, theatre configuration, promotions and discounts, it handles it all. You can define pricing and ticket availability, combine them to create a hierarchy and apply manually or automatically.

Real-time intelligence about the value of your discounts, deals, and margin by product allows you to develop the most profitable offers and promotions. Integration with Vista Loyalty also allows for member benefits and rewards.

Prompt staff to upsell deals and offer combos to customers, based on their initial selection; extra pineapple on your pizza Sir? No problem.

Any concession item can be paired with any other in the database; Vista Cinema tracks and holds information on all items, and visually reminds staff to offer those upsells.

Customers will love the flexibility of different elements of an order enabled to be delivered at different times and to different locations within the cinema. A wine before the movie in the foyer? Sure.

Payment and Point of Sale wizardry

Vista Cinema has impressive payment option flexibility; you can configure to enable any payment type. It handles all payment options from cash to vouchers. The Vista payments module is PA-DSS certified and accepts payments from many different providers worldwide.

It couldn’t be easier for staff to use.  Synopses, ratings and feature times display on a touch screen, staff can see real-time seat availability and are warned when session seats are running low. Customer facing screens allow customers to choose their own seats too.

Whatever POS terminals you run, Vista Cinema is likely to run on them; cash drawers, barcode scanners, card readers, no problem. It also supports all major ticket printers, and you can customise the ticket/voucher printouts to suit.

Starting every conversation

Vista Cinema is at the heart of the Vista software suite. It integrates with key operations and management applications, including Head Office, so you can deploy your business processes across your circuit from a central location.

Talking of Head Office , you can configure concessions, promotions, and discounts centrally and deploy across your cinema circuit, easily and quickly. Head Office also gives you the analytical tools to measure the success of any deal or discount.           

And at the end of the day, Vista Cinema uploads all your transactional information to Head Office, with an extract file for the accounting system.

Cinema Manager is the new web-based ‘HQ’ for cinema managers; designed for those common tasks that managers do every day.  Now they can perform those tasks faster and with fewer errors.

Cinema Manager at a glance:

  • All the operational stuff, right at their fingertips. Stock management, box office, cash flow and reporting, it’s all there when and how managers want it. So they’ll spend less time out the back and more in the front of house.
  • It’s seriously user-friendly. Cinema Manager has a brand-new interface that’s built to be intuitive and works how managers want it to.  We designed it based on their feedback to our previous products.

Cinema Manager includes Showtime Manager; a fast and intuitive scheduling tool. Managers can create schedules for films currently on release, and manipulate the format and pricing automatically or manually, adjusting the schedule with a simple drag and drop. Because Cinema Manager integrates with Film Programming, managers can easily adapt schedules to suit film programming requirements, which programmers can view and approve.

Taking stock

This is easy with Cinema Manager, which will suggest purchase order quantities based on current stock levels and expected demand, and log received stock whether there’s a purchase order for it or not.

Stocktake is a breeze, because your managers can do it in the storeroom on a tablet, no more paper counts and subsequent manual entry. But even if your managers still do an ‘old school’ paper count, entering stock detail in Cinema Manager is much easier and faster.

Show me the money

Vista CashDesk is fully integrated into Cinema Manager - so managers have total visibility and control over the movement of cash in the cinema. Even if you don’t use CashDesk, your managers can still manage sales sessions and report general ledger postings at the end of each day.

All the reports you need and more

Cinema Manager provides an intuitive dashboard view of the current state of all the aspects above, as well as KPI’s such as occupancy, concession sales, and spend per admission, so managers can track progress toward any given KPI as the day or week progresses.

Cinema Manager also has sophisticated performance data analysis tools built in, as well as a transaction analyser which is useful for resolving any customer issues, or isolating transactions for a specific POS operator.

And when it’s time to report to head office and auditors, Cinema Manager’s 250 pdf reports cover everything from box office and concession sales to promotion performances. Vista Food & Beverage (F&B) is a smart, dedicated food service module, for any cinema that offers customers a bar service, restaurant or in-seat dining. F&B functionality elevates your customers’ cinema experience way beyond the ordinary; they’ll love the service and happily spend more with you.

All the ingredients

F&B supports managers, POS and kitchen staff with an array of service-orientated features that will enhance any customer experience.

Because F&B integrates with Vista Cinema, any F&B purchase can be part of a box office sale, so when customers collect tickets, a tab links their name, their seats, and the film they are viewing. One click starts the tab and identifies the customers’ current location, so service is seamless.

In-theatre dining

A movie with restaurant service – perfect. Customers can order food at any time, for delivery wherever they are in the cinema – for example in-seat or at the bar, and settle their bill as they leave, splitting the check if they want to. If the customer relocates within the complex to watch the movie, staff can simply relocate their check on F&B’s ‘check details’ screen. F&B intelligently delays courses too, so each one is served fresh.

Customers can order from their seat, via Vista Mobile, no need to disturb others by speaking to a server. Staff can see it all on InTouch and respond to any requests, and customers can track their order as it moves from the kitchen.  Because F&B integrates with showtimes (via Vista Cinema), you can time delivery for a particular moment, such as the middle of a session.  

Remote ordering – no pick-up lines

Customers can order their refreshments at POS, or in advance via Kiosk, Web or Mobile, and get a txt when their order is ready for pick up at the counter if that’s what they prefer. They can stagger or change their order too, drinks now, pizza later. No queues, just super service.

In the kitchen

Easy-to-use touch screens show all the information for an order, so the kitchen knows what to prepare, for when, and where staff need to deliver it.

Only two slices of cake left? Chef can flag a sales limit to prevent overselling and avoid disappointing customers. Salad not fries? Order changes and cancellations are on screen immediately, which avoids food, and effort, wastage.

The right stuff to run the restaurant

F&B allows you to manage tables and bookings, assign staff, and even manage tips. Because F&B integrates with Vista Connect, you can take orders/bookings through your website, and staff can view and action them at POS.

There’s also a waitlist function so customers know exactly when they’ll be seated when it’s busy. You have a tip sharing policy? No problem with F&B, it’ll calculate and distribute these for you.

You get synopses, running times and a full media package, including posters, trailers, motion posters and film backdrops, delivered directly from the distributor and easily deployed via Digital Signage to all your digital screens.

If you have a single site your cinema manager can use the stand-alone module to maintain on-site signage.

Vista’s Digital Signage automatically loads your LED Text Lights with showtimes on foyer panels, marquee boards, and multi-line displays above auditorium entrances - you can also display custom messages.

Vista UsherPoint is a cinema operations system that helps your ushers perform brilliantly and gives them all the information they need to run cinema sessions with easy professionalism. UsherPoint runs on all your Windows-based devices (PC’s), including older POS hardware.

That’s clever.

For example, UsherPoint allows ushers to make notes on location checks; indicate if a customer needs help in an emergency; or highlight any aspect of the theatre that needs attention. These can be logged on either InTouch or in UsherPoint and other ushers can see and act on them, making for smooth operations.
