Vista Group International Limited is pleased to announce that it has today acquired the remaining 50% of Maccs International B.V. from the existing shareholders, Horizon Investments B.V. and Transparent Constructions B.V.

Maccs designs and develops film distribution software for film studios and distributors, with a multiplemodule offering that covers theatrical distribution, movie prints and advertising as well as rights and royalties management.

Vista Group Chief Executive, Kimbal Riley noted: “We are delighted to take full ownership of Maccs, especially considering the resilient performance we’ve seen from the company during the COVID-19 period. This acquisition is another stage in Vista Group’s strategy to simplify our operations, and builds on the Numero transaction announced at the end of 2019. Our aim going forward is to create incremental value through a close integration between the businesses of Maccs and Numero in serving their shared studio and distributor customers.”

The net consideration of €1.1 million was met from existing cash reserves.
